Legislation Changes

The UK Government has announced its goal to decarbonise the grid. Changes in legislation prevents the installation of gas boilers in new build developments as early as 2025 (2024 in Scotland) and has made a long awaited amendment to how SAP determines a properties ERP Rating – To almost the same as gas. These changes in legislation allows widespread use of electric radiators and electric boilers, which are known as having low installation cost in comparison to alternatives, low maintenance, no flue requirement, rapid heat up times and high efficiency.

The modern method of electric heating is predicted to be the future of home heating within the UK.
